Hot summer nights are here, and how better to enjoy them than an outdoor, art-filled festival? June's First Friday is what? Red hot. There's food, entertainment, and, of course, art. Be sure and check out Atomic Todd on 1541 S. Commerce Street, which has been transformed into the boudoir of cult-movie star Liz Renay, who died in Las Vegas earlier this year. Her art will be on display, and, keeping true to the bedroom theme, a Mary Kay lady will be onhand performing free facials. (A strict no-touch rule will be adhered to by all parties). While you're in the area, check out "TONGUES" ceramic sculptures at Archinofsky (Commerce Street Studios) and Cristina Paulos, exhibition paintings of the Hanafuda card game is on display at The Fallout (Commerce Street Studios). And of course be sure and check out the fun and freaking after parties at Dino's, Beauty Bar, Downtown Cocktail Room and more.
