In Actuality the Mint is still there. It is hidden behind the Binions Neon Spectacular as is the very historic Apache Hotel Built in the 1930's. If you were to remove the facades of the hotels downtown most of the original buildings dating back to the 20's and 30's are still there.
One day Fremont Street could be restored back to what originally looked like to a certain degree.
