One of the upcoming regular features will be descriptions of various architectural styles found in Vintage Vegas. One of the oldest styles is ART DECO. I don't know of any homes, but there are 3 great examples in Downtown. First is the original Las Vegas High School (now the LV Academy at 7th and Bridger) and the Downtowner Motel at 8th and Ogden. The third is an pretty good attempt at creating the look of Art Deco but the building itself was not. It's at 813 Ogden. There's a great discussion and explanation of Art Deco on Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Art_deco and lots of links from there to learn more.
If anyone knows of any ART DECO HOMES in Vintage Vegas, I'd sure love to get a tip.
