Downtown and Fremont St. are close, cheap and fun. There are great treasures and brand new places to discover. The downtown casinos have a lot to offer and a much more intimate environment.
Any time you're downtown, or the next time you visit First Friday, park downtown, have dinner and walk around. Don't forget to check out the Neon Museum displays all over downtown.
