Florida Cafe has EXCELLENT CUBAN

We've been a fan since they've opened.

My mother grew up in Miami. I first ate cuban there when visiting my grandmother. The meals I've eaten at the Florida Cafe rival all the cuban restaurants we used to go to in Miami.

We've got a great mix of ethnic restaurants in and around Vintage Vegas. Next time you're going out, try something different. If you've got a favorite restaurant, please share it with us in the comments.

The Florida Cafe is in the Howard Johnson's at 1401 S. Las Vegas Blvd. Visit the Florida Cafe Website for hours, menus, and more.

We've been to Florida Cafe and loved it, but it's been a long time. We'll have to get back over there soon! A favorite Thai restaurant of ours is "Komol's" located in the Commercial Center, on the west side of that middle island. We used to think Lotus of Siam was great (also in Commercial Center) until we tried Komol's. The food is better, cheaper, and NEVER a wait. We eat there and take out food 2-3 x a month!! Try the Papaya Salad!! (Request it to be medium spice...that's plenty spicy if you like spicy!)

OH I shouldn't have read this post so close to lunch time!!!!!

I always like Esmerelda's Pupusas on Charleston and 10th, Los Tacos on Charleston and Bruce,(my absolute favorite carne asada tacos and Shrimp "cockteil")...also, I like the Bulgarian Restaurant "Magura" on Vegas Valley and Maryland, across from the Walgreens.
