Susan drove to Vegas over the weekend, and got settled into her little temporary studio apartment. Her husband Steve is here with her. Steve's a runner! 10 miles EVERY day. (I don't do that much WALKING in a year!). He won the Las Vegas Marathon in in the 70's and came in 8th in the Boston Marathon in the 80's before retiring from competitive running.
Steve wants me to ask you all if anyone knows of a runner's club etc? I have no clue and couldn't find anything on Google.
He doesn't care where or how they live, as long as there's somewhere to go running. We took him to Sunset Park, and the Wetlands, and a few high school tracks, and Jaycee Park. and the National golf course. He's happy now, and willing to live in Las Vegas.
We also impressed him with some of the great townhouse communities of Vintage Vegas. Steve and Susan are done with yard work, and outside maintenance, and only need a little bit of yard for the Basset Hound.
Sunrise Villas, Braewood Heritage, Heritage Square South, Villa Hermosa (where we found the time capsule below) are all in contention the minute the house in Spokane sells.

The Las Vegas Track Club is an organization of about 800 current members that has been around for a very long time in Las Vegas. They have a great website, www.lvtc.org that lists places to run, a message board and upcoming races.
