A celebrity oasis

This home , once alone in the desert is a fine example of the Ranches that show people would build in the desert. A casual style with a pool right in front. These little private estates were so far from the strip and hotels that an entertainer or casino Mogul could escape for an afternoon or a weekend. The Ranch style was comfortable and spacious. Many of these places boasted horse stables. Today they are only 15min away and surrounded by apartment buildings.

Westleigh (a lovely West Side VVV neighborhood)

Just east of Valley View between Oakey and Charleston, you'll find a delightful neighborhood of 288 cottage and bungalow style homes. They were built between 1952 and 1957 on 8 to 11,000 sf lots.

Mostly they were 2 bedrooms and 1 bath, but many have been expanded (some nicely, and some horribly). Some of the expanded ones appear more as ranch style now. Some have detached garages, some have guest houses, some are original.

There's 6 homes for sale today between 210,000 for a 2/1 fixer and 359,000 for a 4/2 at 2000 sf.

McNeil

McNeil is an umbrella term for McNeil Estates, McNeil Track and McNeil Manor and McNeil Park. McNeil is located 2 miles west of Las Vegas Blvd, off Charleston. Roughly, the boundaries are Charleston, Cashman, Oakey and Rancho.

Mr. McNeil sub-divided all the lots for custom homes (though some builders bought quite a few and developed them). Most Homes were built between the 1950's through the 1970's, but some brand new homes are under construction right now. Wide streets boast different size lots. McNeil Park are three different cul-de-sacs off Rancho, called Llewellyn, Laurie and Karli. Supposedly Mr. McNeil's daughters. The unverified story we keep hearing is that all the street names are first names of his family members.

Unclejack's first client bought a McNeil home. Many different home styles and sizes. Close to Downtown and shopping, freeways and more, the McNeil area is Vintage Vegas at it's finest. 548 total homes, with prices that vary from the high $300's to the Mid $800's
